Produced for the Annie E. Casey
Foundation to demonstrate the connection between a Community
School and the successes that they have, including a high graduation
rate, compared to the more traditional Public School.
“Creating Safer Communities Through
Employment”
Produced
for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, this video
examines what different divisions of the Office of Probation
and Pre-trial services around the county are doing to assist
formerly incarcerated individuals in obtaining livable wage jobs.
“Community of Choice”
Produced for Bethel New Life,
Inc. to highlight the work this Faith Based Community Organization
is doing to assist families in their ever changing west side
community, including the development of a smart green building
at a transit stop which includes day care, employment center,
and retail space.
“Bridging the Gap”
Produced
for the Girls Advocacy Project. The video includes highlights
of a performance by women at the Broward Women’s Correctional
facility who are participating in a creative writing workshop
where their life experiences are shared with girls in juvenile
detention to discourage the girls from making choices that might
land them in prison.
“Know Your Body”
Produced for the
Howard University Cancer Center in partnership with the Cancer
Research & Prevention
Foundation, this video addresses the need for High School Students
to begin to do breast self-exams.
“Making Connections”
Produced for
the Annie E. Casey Foundation highlighting the work that their
ten Making Connection sites around the country are doing midpoint
in the initiative and where they hope to be in four years. The
Foundation has been acting as a catalyst to bring community-based
organizations, businesses, academia, and local government together
with the people they serve to affect real change in the lives
of people in troubled neighborhoods.

Through Faith"
Producedfor Outreach Extensions as part of their Reentry National
Media Outreach Campaign examining what faith-based institutions,
particularly in the African American community, are doing to assist
men and women coming out of prison and jail to successfully transition

“Road to Success”
Produced for
the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Transition branch that was
distributed to every Federal Prison and to community based organizations.
The video addressed the need for people who are incarcerated
to prepare themselves for employment while they are incarcerated
to better their chances of finding employment after release.
“New Life New Futures”
Produced for
Bethel New Life, Inc. a faith-based community organization in
Chicago, IL celebrating 25 years of service to the West side
community of Chicago.
“Outside the Walls: A National Snapshot of Community-Based
Prisoner Reentry Programs”
Producer
A two and a half hour video made up of six modules, highlighting
24 programs from around the country that are focusing on the
issues facing hundreds of thousand of people being released from
prison. The video is one part of the Reentry National Media Outreach
Campaign designed to support the work of community and faith-based
organizations through offering media resources that will facilitate
community discussion and decision making about solution-based
reentry programs. A growing level of activity is occurring among
national, state, and local policy makers, researchers and practitioners
to address this issue. At the same time, some of the most important
and innovative work in the reentry field is occurring at the
community level.
“Outside The Walls” goes on location to visit the
organizations that are assisting men, women, their families and
communities in successful reintegration. Partners in the Reentry
Campaign include the Annie E. Casey Foundation and the Urban
Institute and is managed by Outreach Extension.

Every year the Annie E. Casey Foundation recognizes the work of
community-based organizations from around the country that focus
on helping families that live in poor and underserved communities
develop the strengths they already have to work toward self empowerment
and improving the lives of their families.
“Faith Into Action”

A two-hour video, made up of six modules that looks at what faith-based
institutions in the African American community are doing to assist
their communities in economic development, housing, education,
diversity and health. The video was produced for Outreach Extensions
as a part of their community outreach campaign that preceded the
PBS broadcast of “This Far By Faith”.
“The Fight Against Cancer: African Americans and
Clinical Trials”

An educational/outreach video produced for the Howard University
Cancer Center to encourage the participation of African Americans
in clinical trials to aid in the fight against cancer.
“Native Circle: Spirit of Eagles”

An educational/outreach video produced for the Mayo Clinic and
Native Circle to explore the participation of Native Americans
in clinical trials in the fight against cancer.
HUD/CDBG Videos
A series of videos produced for Ralph G. Moore &
Associates and used in training organizations in the use of CDBG
funds for economic and community development.
