“Martin Luther King, Jr.: The March To Freedom”

This one hour special , produced in 1994, takes a look at how far African Americans had come in the 30 years since the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr.. Hosted by Julian Bond, Chairman of the NAACP, with some segments shot on location at the very hotel where King was assassinated and currently the home of the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis, TN, the special contains excerpts from a rare interview with Dr. King, as well as with his wife, Coretta Scott King and daughter Yolanda.
Produced for the Hearst Broadcasting company, the program was nationally distributed and is the recipient of an Emmy Award and Jr. Iris Award.
